Roto Armor Turns Towards Sheetfed Offset

14 december 2016

Based in Plouagat, in the département of Côtes-d’Armor, France, Roto Armor just achieved an investment plan totalling one million euros, to integrate sheetfed offset production. The company decided to replace an 8-page web offset press by a second hand Komori Lithrone LS‑540 sheetfed offset press (print size: 710 x 1020 mm).

They opted for a five-color press with coater based on H-UV process enabling to not only instant drying, but also enhancing value through UV coating. “Given the market changes and the trend to lower runs, we considered H-UV offset process as the most suitable. We will propose to our existing customers and prospects a wider range of products, thanks to the complementarity of our H-UV/web offset offer,” said the manager Franck Communier. The Komori offset press to be installed in January will join a fleet consisting of two web offset presses (one 8-page and one 16-page).

With a staff of 47 people, Roto Armor achieved a turnover of 9.8 million euros on the markets of publishing, marketing and leaflets delivered to letter boxes.
